CGS students in Years 7-10 have the opportunity to apply to the Netball specialist programme
What age groups are involved?
Year 7 - Year 10
Sessions and Training commitment (Weekly)
Years 7 - Year 9 consists of 2 x timetabled classes & 1 x before school session
Year 10 consists of 3 x timetabled classes
** students in Year 7 -Year 8 are restricted to choose 1 sport (e.g. girls can do AFLW or netball, not both)
*** students in Year 9 - 10 have the flexibility to choose 2specialist sports (Basketball, Netball & AFLW)
Are there scholarships available?
Limited Scholarships are offered for the Netball Specialist Programme, normal Scholarship criteria applies and are based on attending Netball trials.
How do I sign up?
Students must have completed enrolment and be confirmed in order to apply to the programme. When applications are opened via the website students can register their interest.
Who will run the program?
The program will be overseen by PE Specialist staff in Netball and be assisted by Level 2 Accredited coaches who are currently employed by the school.
Any other information?
The program is available to both male and female students across Yr7-10.
Students will be provided with the opportunity to train and play organised matches throughout the school year.
